Thank you for your question, Patrona. We’d recommend checking the
temperature of your oven. It sounds like it might be running too hot.
Also, try baking the bread in the middle rack. If it still gets too dark
on the top, you can loosely cover it with aluminum foil. Happy baking!

When it was only 40 minutes when I was baking, I took a toothpick and
inserted it in the middle and it was clean. What does that mean?

  3. AhuraMazdaAhriman says:

Generally speaking, I’m not a big fan of banana flavor. Can the bananas be
    substituted with plantains?

  4. Allrecipes says:

Hi, Natasha Camilleri – Walnuts would be a terrific addition for banana
bread. You might toast them first to bring out even more flavor. Enjoy the
    recipe!

Wait, when did you use the sugar+butter+egg mixture?

  8. Eric Nguyen says:

I made this today and it turned out bad… it tasted like flour! I think 2
cups of flour is way too much, it overpowers the other ingredients.

  9. supravsg35 says:

Does it matter if we use salted butter or is it better to use unsalted
    butter?

  17. Fabiola Escamilla says:

can I use stevia instead of sugar? and how much?

  18. Allrecipes says:

Are you using stevia powder or liquid stevia, Fabiola Escamilla? If using
powder, use 1/3 to 1/2 teaspoon stevia powder for 1 cup of sugar. If using
the stevia concentrate, use 1 tablespoon per 1 cup of sugar.

  19. Mikki128 says:

Why does it look like you’re using 1 cup of butter? 1/2 cup of my butter
looks like half the size of yours.. I’m using blue bonnet butter
    substitute.

  20. Stephanie yowza says:

2 cups flour is a no no!…I used 1 1/2 and it turned out better.. It
makes me angry when I pull up a recipe and the ingredients are not
correct!!…Although the video made it look perfect… shame…

I just made this with extra bananas and added chocolate chips mixed in
before baking and topped with sliced almonds. Delish.
