casserole quiche hello world and cooks who likes to cook casserole quiche or ant casserole!!

asserole Quiche2 (8 count) packages crescent roll refrigerated dough 1 pound bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled 1 can French fried onions 6 eggs, beaten 1 (14 ounce) can cream-style corn 1 (12 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained 3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese16 ounces sour cream1/2 teaspoon saltSpray a 9 x 13-inch pan with cooking spray. Line the pan with the crescent dough going all the way up the sides. Make sure to press the perforations closed. Sprinkle the dough with crumbled bacon and onion.Mix remaining ingredients. Pour into pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the center is set. On humid days, it may take longer to bake. If the edges of the crust start to brown too quickly, cover with foil. Let rest 15 to 20 minutes before serving.NOTE: These can be made into mini quiches. Just line greased muffin tins with the dough, fill, and bake 15 minutes or until set.

Tortilla Quiche1 (12-inch) flour tortilla1 1/2 cups grated Monterey jack cheese1 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chiles3 eggs1 cup sour cream1/4 teaspoon salt1/8 teaspoon cuminPreheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place tortilla in bottom of a lightly greased 10-inch pie plate. Sprinkle jack cheese and half of Cheddar cheese over tortilla. Sprinkle chiles over cheese.Beat eggs, sour cream, salt and cumin. Pour over chiles and top with the remaining Cheddar cheese. Bake for 45 minutes. Let sit 10 minutes before cutting.Makes 6 servings.

Classic Quiche LorraineThis traditional cheeseless quiche requires a somewhat longer baking time and must stand for half an hour before serving.6 slices baconEgg Pastry for Quiche4 eggs1 1/4 cups half-and-half1/2 cup whipping cream3/4 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmegPreheat oven to 375 degrees F.Prepare Egg Pastry for Quiche and bake the empty shell for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.Saut bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until barely crisp (about 6 minutes); drain well. Chop into pieces and sprinkle over bottom of the partially baked quiche shell.In a mixing bowl, beat eggs and stir in half-and-half, cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Pour over bacon in shell and bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean (45 to 50 minutes); custard will be soft. Remove from oven and cool 30 minutes. Serve at room temperature.Egg Pastry1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour1/4 teaspoon salt1/4 cup butter2 tablespoons vegetable shortening1 egg, slightly beatenIn medium bowl, mix flour and salt. Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter and shortening until mixture is crumbly.Gradually add egg to flour mixture, stirring until dough is evenly moistened and begins to cling together. Shape into a flattened ball.Roll out on a floured board or pastry cloth to about a 12-inch circle. Ease pastry into a 9 1/2-inch quiche pan. Trim edge to about a 1/2-inch overhang, then fold pastry under, even with top of dish.

Are you ready for some yummy quiche recipes from South of the border. I want to share with you one of my favorite Mexican recipes that have a flair of quiche in them. OHlay..ohlay…
Here is my yummy quiche recipe mexican style.
taco quiche
Taco Quiche2 pounds ground beef1/2 cup sour cream 2 envelopes taco seasoning 3 cups shredded lettuce 4 eggs 3/4 cup fresh salsa 3/4 cup milk 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 1/4 cups biscuit mix 1/4 cup chopped green onions Dash of pepper8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese In a skillet brown ground beef; drain. Add taco seasoning and prepare according to the package directions. Spoon meat into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish.In a bowl, beat eggs and milk. Add biscuit mix and pepper; mix well. Pour over the meat. Bake uncovered, at 400 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 5 to 10 minutes.Spread sour cream over the top; sprinkle with lettuce, salsa, green pepper, onions and cheese. Serve immediately.Yield: 8 servings

Spanish rice recipes
Mexican Red Rice
This is often mistakenly called Spanish Rice in the United States.2 tablespoons vegetable oil or lard1 medium onion, minced2 garlic cloves, minced1 cup uncooked Basmati or long-grain rice2 cups chicken stock2 small plum tomatoes, chopped, or 1/2 cup canned tomato sauce1 tablespoon ground dried New Mexico chile3/4 teaspoon saltPour hot water over rice and let it stand for about 15 minutes. Drain the rice and rinse it well in cold water. Shake the sieve and let the rice drain for a while. Shake the rice to remove any excess water.In a saucepan, warm the peanut oil or lard over medium heat. Saut� the onion and garlic until softened. Add rice and saut� for another couple minutes, stirring to coat all the grains of rice with oil. Pour in the stock, add tomatoes or tomato sauce, sprinkle in the chile and salt, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pan, and cook the rice for 15 to 18 minutes, until all the liquid is absorbed. Remove the pan from the heat and let the rice steam, covered, for 5 to 10 minutes. Fluff up the rice with a fork and serve warm.VariationWhen the rice has cooked for about 10 or 12 minutes, fold in 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots which have been parboiled in salted water for 1 minute, then drained.

1/8 cup vegetable oil1 cup Basmati or long-grain rice2 large poblano chiles, tops removed, seeded, and diced1 cup fresh cilantro leaves3 garlic cloves, mashed1/2 onion, diced2 tablespoons chicken bouillon granulesSaltPepper1 cup frozen peas and carrots1 tablespoon butterIn a Dutch oven with a tight-fitting lid, heat oil and saut� rice.In a blender pur�e chiles, cilantro leaves, garlic, and onion with 2 cups hot water. Strain over the saut�ed rice. Add chicken bouillon granules and stir until dissolved. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes until rice is tender.Meanwhile, cook frozen peas and carrots in lightly salted water for 1 minute. Drain. Add 1 tablespoon butter and garnish rice with them.

16 whole juniper berries 1 teaspoon dried Cascade hops 1 teaspoon mushroom powder 4 teaspoons dried chives 2 teaspoons horseradish powder (wasabi) 2 teaspoons caraway powder 8 teaspoons dried marjoram 2 teaspoons white pepper 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weedGrind first 8 ingredients to a fine powder in a high speed coffee mill, then add the dill weed. Pour into a container, then tightly seal.
